I was just reading the comments from yesterday. There are some great ideas out there. I can't wait until it all takes shape. I was also reading Kat's site. That is awesome for the two kittens to go together to the same home. Definately wonderfu about Kona and Maddie being so good for the vet. I am with everyone else about a 3rd opinion. I also have my own good news. Well s you know Jake is eating the dry food. I have been keeping him in my room. Last night he kept meowing and meowing. I brought him up some water and he refused it. So as the talking continued I let him out of the room. He made his way to the bathroom. All the while meowing. My brother just finished a shower, and there was water on the ledge. Jake licked that up. He kept talking. So I carried him downstairs to the bathroom (with a working toilet) and he drank out of the toilet for a good 10 minutes. I am very pleased.

ya, same here, I went to the yahoo home page and entered my mail that way and didn't have a problem
oh, and for those of you that were asking yesterday, 15 tiles, they are big, and that is just over my little section....LOL

So glad to hear the good news about Jake. He is a tough little guy, isn't he.
We had a lot of good news yesterday. Rosie the Rose is getting a beautiful sister, the two kitties have homes together. Kona and Maddie had quite the adventure. Hopefully Deb's headache is history (it stopped raining finally). Bear is definitely going for a third opinion. Now we want to hear about Amber today, that's where all our thoughts are.
Read my comments about Yahoo! on Kat's -- definitely having problems there.
Cute pictures. Great news about Jake, but what is it about cats and toilet water. I keep ours closed because I use one of those bowl cleaners that sits in the tank but mine (Emma and Alex) like to drink out of the faucet, especially Emma. Must be because is is so cold. Just very glad to hear he is drinking well. I'm going to miss all of you and the great pictures while we go out of town tomorrow for a long weekend. I know I'll have lots to catch up on when I return. Hope everyone is feeling better too!!! We are having lots of rain here today in Metro Detroit. I think Houston sent it to us.
Yeah Claire, I think they must have sent the rain to us, it is so dreary today, a good day to be in bed! Oh well. That's great about Jake, he is a real fighter!

Oh by the way that is Cataline up there. The first picture. I was going to put it up yesterday but I didn't for some reason. Well now I have a great reason for her to be there. She was adopted!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Good morning! Who's nice finger and cute...OH, it's my finger and Catalina! lol...I love that picture! Do you see the little tongue? She loves to give kisses. Hope her and Mini-B are doing well in their new home. I'm sure they are! Zeblin is doing great here! He started exploring the house yesterday afternoon and I went ahead and left him out(in the house, instead of in the room) last night. He did grand! And guess who came and slept on my bed and snuggled w/me when I woke up!? He's so sweet! But, who was it? Wasn't someone talking about their kitty drooling? He DROOLS! When he's giving cheek rubs to your hand, or wherever! He DROOLS! But, I don't mind!
Danielle, I'm glad to hear Jake is now drinking water. I hope he continues to get better. Also, I am very happy to hear that everyone is doing better.
I'm telling you Kat, you've just found your fourth kitty!!!! Snicker, snort!
You know Danni, they say that the water in a toilet is the freshest water in the house because it's constantly be refreshed with every flush. Hard to imagine but that's what they say. Good for Jake, I'm so proud of him, what a fighter he is!!!!!!!!
Yahoo sucks today! I cannot sign into messanger, Kat, what will we do?! I'm having trouble in other areas too. If I surf my sites, I'm ok, but if I try to go to MY YAHOO or MESSANGER, then I get kicked off all together.

Thanks, Kat-We are visiting friends in Tennessee to the area we hope to retire to in a few years, outside of Knoxville. Only about an 8 hour drive from Detroit area but I'm going to miss logging on so I'll be busy on Tuesday catching up with postings. I'm like Danielle and Lisa S., answer phones and do clerical work in a very small office, which isn't very busy so I spend lots of time checking sites out. Love Kat's Cats, Pet du Jour, Ella's site and of course, Danielle's Venting. site.
catalina is going to be a looker when she gets older. better keep her away from the boy kittys. LOl love her color and eyes. so expresive. so sweet to give kitty kisses.
yah zeblin!! so good that he is feeling better. maybe he just needed a house instead of a cage to feel like his old self. or could it be plain old curiosity? how depressed can you be if your a kitty with a whole house to explore? so glad there are foster mommies to help poor kitties. hugs to all of you.
btw i have 54 2'x4' tiles in my office. which is also the conference room, plotter room, printer room, fax machine room. there are 3 doors in my office. i have no privacy as people walk thru my office all the time.
Momsbusy, that would be annoying for sure. I used to be a receptionist in a very busy office, did it for 10 years and I do appreciate this very slow pace now-even though it can be boring but at my age, boring can be good. That way I don't go home exhausted every night. At this point, though, can't wait to retire in a few years.
I wish I had tiles to count! I have a cament wall a makeshift wood wall and a ugly metal ceiling with pipes.
Claire, my sister-in-law lives in Chattanooga and let me tell you, that whole side of Tennessee is absolutely gorgeous! I really think you'll like the area you'll be visiting!!! My parents were going to retire in that area when we lived in Oklahoma, they want to retire in the mountains. Now that we live in the Ozarks, they're going to retire in these mountains instead so that they can be close. Have a WONDERFUL trip and hope your weather is perfect!

Thanks Kim, the Ozarks are beautiful to. I am really looking foward to the trip to Knoxville and the visit with our friends. I'll miss my kitties, though. My daughter is coming to take care of them for the 5 days we'll be gone but I do feel guilty. Especially about Emma, who is my cuddle bug-our Alex will miss my husband, who calls him a "love sponge" because he loves to have his tummy rubbed.I know Holly will take good care of them but she isn't staying at the house, so I know they will probably give me the "cold shoulder" when we return on Monday evening. Oh well, have to give them lots of love to make up for it.
Your babies will miss you but they will be so happy when you return.
I just won a four pack of tickets to the Imax theater for thursday night. Same radio station I have a chance to win a car from. Pretty cool.

Claire, Danni is right, they'll be so happy to see you when you get home! You may get the cold shoulder but I doubt is will be more than an hour or so! It's so wonderful that your daughter lives close and can help with the kitties! I keep trying to get my parents to retire now but the want to wait five more years. They're looking for property now though. Since they're so picky about what they want, maybe 5 years is a good idea! LOL!
Wow, Danni, you are on a roll. That is wonderful-hopefully this lucky streak will carry through the day you try the keys. I'm crossing my fingers for you. Thanks for the encouragement. I went home at lunch and "loved" on both of them. I do love them so. As my husband said though "It is only for 5 days, grow up".
We might look for property ourselves this time. We have "introduced" three other couples to the area we want to settle and they have all bought property and one couple has already moved there but we still haven't made a purchase. We can't afford two homes right now but could probably buy property to build, guess we'll wait and see what this trip brings.
Claire...question: We need pix of your two babies!!! We have still yet to see them! Ahem...Rose, you're in trouble too!! :)
Guess that really wasn't a question, now was it? My parent-in-laws' neighbor's boy, when he was about 6, used to do that. He'd say, I gotta ask you a question! Put me on my bike. Lol!
I truly mean to send in pictures of the two angels and will work on getting something when we return. I have taken some but they are both black and don't photograph well, wish I had the camera skill of Loa and her beautiful black cat with those fantastic eyes. I'll get something to you soon, I promise.
Danielle, it's so GOOD to hear Jake's drinking again! (just keep him away from the hard stuff a little longer...). At first, I thought that the cat in the picture was Jake! So strange, cats and water - when Emily was a kitten, I gave her the same water I drink-bottled. Then she stopped drinking that. In the last place I lived, she was able to get to the kitchen counter by a series of levels-box of water,to chair,to table,to windowsill, to counter,cross to sink. Get in and sit. Start to scream for service after 20 seconds. Alternate: follow biped into bathroom, climb leg onto bathroom sink and slide in-ask for service. She still will only drink out of the tap.
