Today is a happy day
OK I made this site because I wanted to get rid of some anger. Also to have a place to come and chat about anything and everything. Mostly to vent though. I normaly have a lot of anger. Not lately. I have made such good friends here I haven't been angry. Just chatting online has helped a great deal. Today I am in a great mood. I am very excited. Last night I was on the way to the store to get some cat food. The radio station I listen to is giving away a new toyota solara. You have to be caller 12 and you win a key that might start the car. They are giving away 101 keys. Well I have been trying to win and last night I did. I won a key that might start this car. I get to go to Mass. on July 14 with 100 other people to see if my key starts the car. I am so very excited. Mostly about winning the key. If it doesn't start the car I won't be too upset. It would be awesome though. So I am anxiously awaiting the 14 of July.

Good luck, I hope you win!
Thank you Riquel. I am very excited.
I just posted a Jake update on Kat's site.
Congratulations on the first step to your win.
I love your site, and the Fuzz Pack. It is nice to have a place where you can go and be yourself and vent or be happy, whatever. Kinda like Cheers, except on the internet! Gotta go read about Mr. Jake now.
Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Just kidding. In all seriousness. It is great to come somewhere when you can be yourself and don't have to worry about it because we are all friends. It is wonderful.
That's great Danielle! Good Luck!! I too love being able to just randomly feel free to come here and vent or be happy!
danielle - good luck with the key/car!! stuff like that really can perk you up and change how you see things. great addrenaline high! i thought the kitties in the doghouse was a hoot. soes this mean the kitties are in the proverbial doghouse? LOL the kittens are typical siblings. one is screaming about what the other one did and the other one is looking like "what is going on?" complete innocense. too cute.
this is one of my favorite sites. great to hear from other "real" people about their "real" lives. i agree w/ ml - just like cheers except on the internet.
Yea Danielle, I wish you very good luck and I'm glad that this site has accomplished a positive in your life. I think we all come here to enjoy the friendship and the love of animals we all have in common. Glad Jake is doing better every day and I hope to hear that you have won that car-you will have lots of people here cheering for you and sending positive thoughts your way!!!!
Danielle, Congrats on the key!!! I hope you win!!! That would just be awesome! Ditto on everyone else's comments. I love coming here too! And the fact that we're all so close and talk about anything is just such a wonderful thing and something I've needed too! So thank you Danni!
Con grats Danielle, me and my kitty crew have our paws and fingers crossed for you. I'm glad to hear jake is eating dry food again.
glad to hear jakey wanted dry food. good sign!! give him extra hugs and kisses for being such a good boy and hanging in there. don't forget to pat yourself on the back!! since he is not eating wet food he will need to drink water. try a clean bowl (not washed in citrus scented detergent) w/ bottled water (not tap water). sometimes the scent of chemicals added to our drinking water can be a turn off to their sensitives noses. i read about this in a kitty magazine.
momsbusy, that is very good advice. I will try some bottled water with my cats too. That sounds like a very good tip, Danielle. Anything to have Jake drink.
I am soooooo bored! I am beginning to not like my job so much anymore...too many grumpy people work here!!
Congrats on the key Danielle! Ella and me are pulling for you. You're already one up on me, I can never seem to get through on those call in contests. I love your site too and I just love your pictures! Between your site and the others I can always find something to brighten my day!
Thanks folks for the advise and nice words. Riquel what do you do for a living? I know all about boredom I work in a warehouse. There are 9 other people here but I am by myself all day long. It stinks. Well except I am on the computer. (I'm not supposed to be)
I am a receptionist in a small law office, I sit staring out into space waiting for the phone to ring, or I read a book and wait for the phone to ring, or surf the net and wait for the phone to ring. Every once in awhile, they give me some typing to do, or files to break down, but most of the time, I am counting ceiling tiles waiting for the phone to ring
Sound much better than waht I am doing. I sweat my butt off in the summer and freeze it off in the winter. Covered in dust. And very noisy. So how many tiles?
Wow Riquel, I thought I had it bad. I'm an administrative assistant at a small construction company and I do mean small. I do all the office work, so I'm by myself most of the day except when the boss comes in. Things have really slowed down, so I've been spending a lot of time waiting for the phone to ring. Most everybody has his cell phone # though so he gets most of the calls. Were trying to regroup and get more projects in so we have all these applications to fill out, so I've been spending the past few days filling those out, so that's keeping me pretty busy. I have to type them up the old fashioned way on a typewriter, so they appear semi-prefessional, and I've been having the worst time with this thing. Give me a computer anyday! Ok, rant over. I don't want to take up too much space.
Lol! Yeah, Riquel, how many tiles?!
Oh Ella's mom take all the space you want. That is what it is here for.
i subscribe to cat fancy magazine and just got my latest issue in today (august 2006). yes i look at the pics first (gotta see the kitties) then read the articles.
they had a good article on adoption especially the advantages to adopting older or special needs cats. does any of this ring a bell????? cairo!!!
another good article on "adopting the unadoptable" feral kittens. that hits close to home too for our group. perhaps this is a sign we are on the right track with FFCA.
does everyone know that acetaminophen (tylenol) is toxic to kitties? there was also an article on dangers in our houses to cats. something that new cat owners may not be aware of. we could post this on the FFCA site (w/ permission/credit of course).
also a great article on how to help a friend greiving over their pets death.
these seem to be things we all have discussed on KCOTD. do you think they got their ideas from our conversations? LOL
has anyone ever checked out catchannel.com? lots and lots of great info. if we could link to/with them . . . . hmmmmm the possibilities.
You know what else would be great to have on our site? "Ask the Vet". Maybe we could get a vet to have a column to post helpful hints and take questions.
