Well I went to check an apt. on Sat. morning. The guy calls me back that night and tells me if I still want it it was mine. So I call him back and told him yes. We made an appt. for Mon at 9am. He didn't show. I called him and he told me he thought I was someone else. He rented it to a girl named Nikki. They have an appt on Wed between 9 and 930. If she doesn't show it is going to be my apt. What a pain in the ass. I was so pissed. I just have to wait and be calm. I will find out Wed. I also heard from the first apt. I saw. They want my boyfriend to sign the lease and have background checks done. I am still looking. My boyfriend isn't moving in with me right now why would they need that? Well it is just what they want. Anyway other than that life is pretty good. I just need to get out. Now about the kitties. There is no way I would be able to keep Spot in the house. So how would I go about that one?

Danielle, life is throwing you some curve balls but if this doesn't work out on Wednesday, perhaps something that allows pets will come up very soon. It is very hard to break a cat of the outside habit, I know but hopefully the "right place" will be right around the corner. Probably the first place wants your boyfriends info as assurance on paying the rent but I don't think it is legal-kind of like a co-signer on a loan, I think. Not a good idea I wouldn't think. Anyway, I'm wishing you the very best luck in your search.

I am also thinking about buying because it really is cheaper in the long run. They also have programs for first time homebuyers. I can look into that as well.
If you could swing it and the neighorhood is good, buying is the best way. You are investing when you pay your mortgage instead of just paying rent.
I hope you can find a place where Spot can stiil go outside safely. I don't know what I would to if I had to move to a place where Bubbles can't go outside. Good luck and I hope you find a nice place for you and the kitties
Spot is really cute, I hope you can find a place where he can still go outside too. Maybe a house would be better if you can do it. That way you wouldn't have to worry about them accepting cats. That sucks about the apartment though, some people can be such idiots.
I was sorta pissed this morning too cause I went to get in my car to go to work and I had a parking ticket on my car. It said my tags were expired but I just got this car in March, so how can they be? I've never even known those parking enforcement people to so much as come down our street before and today they want to give me a ticket! Just makes me mad.
Spot is really cute, I hope you can find a place where he can still go outside too. Maybe a house would be better if you can do it. That way you wouldn't have to worry about them accepting cats. That sucks about the apartment though, some people can be such idiots.

I know what you mean. I got a ticket I guess about three years ago. I paid it but it got there a little late. So after three years they decided to send me a bill for the late fees. After three years you think they would give up.
Do check out the first time homeowners, that would be great. Your own place. Wow. No one to bother you about your kitties, and you could make a backyard place for Spot.
