Kevin Michael Williams
Kevin was 24 years old. He worked for Sandler O'Neill on the 104th floor of the World Trade Center.
Last year, Kevin M. Williams decided to pop the big question and ask Jillian Volk, his high school sweetheart, to marry him. Mr. Williams, 24, a bond salesman at Sandler O'Neill on the 104th floor of the south tower, took her to Macy's just before Christmas. Together on Santa's lap, he asked. "She had tears of joy," said Dan Williams, his uncle. "Kevin always had a knack to do something a little extra, to make those special occasions something a little extra." Since that day at Macy's, the wedding, scheduled for December, was all Mr. Williams talked about, even at a party in June for his brother's high school graduation. "These were young people in love," his uncle said. Profile published in THE NEW YORK TIMES on September 16, 2001.

That is really sad. A lot of sad stories remembered today, so many lives cut short.
It was hard to read this story. They way he proposed was so sweet. He seemed like a wonderful person. Looking at him makes me sad because he just looked so young and happy. He had a whole new life just waiting for him with his fiance'. God bless him and help ease her pain.
Oh what a sad story! Danielle, thank you for helping us know another one of the heroes of 9/11, Kevin Williams.
Wow, the first thing I noticed, as I'm sure everyone did, were those blue eyes! Such a young man too. What a sad story.
