What a night

Sorry I didn't get back to questions last night. Jake was not thrilled about taking meds. As usual. He is hungry and wants to eat but just doesn't eat much. I think I am going to go back to the canned or the baby food. In other parts of this life. My son last week was hit in the mouth with a basketball. He is 6 and not close to loosing any teeth. Well the basketball knocked one lower front tooth loose. Last night he bit into an ice cube and came running upstairs tooth in hand. He was excited at first but then had the attitude "why is that so cool?" I thought it was. So the tooth fairy visited last night. He woke up with a dollar under the pillow. Very eventful night. This is our cat Casper. I tried to send a picture to Casper's mom A.K.A. Monica, but it didn't work. So this picture of our Casper is for Monica.

Your son and Casper are both very handsome. My son got hit with a softball in the mouth years ago-glad your son didn't have more damage-Chris required a cap on his tooth-which broke in half. So I know what you mean-makes you realize why professionals wear mouth guards.

speaking of the tooth fairy, a friend of mine said when her son lost his first tooth one of his cousins told him he got $5 for his teeth from the tooth fairy. this made her feel obligated to that amount. imagine how much she will have invested in lost teeth with 3 boys!

casper is a cutie. love his markings. is he as soft as he looks? how big is he?

I forgot to say Casper is a girl. She is probably around the 10 pound mark. Not too sure. She is quite the lazy one. Her gut is about 2-3 inches from the ground when she walks. She is a spastic cat. She chases the "dust fairies" constantly.

Good morning, everyone.
Your son is too cute, especially with that little gap from the missing tooth.
And Casper(-girl) is a beauty. I like fluffy (as in ...I'm not fat, I'm fluffy) cats.
I have to be careful saying that name (Casper), Missy just ran over to the computer.
Well, I am tired today. What was the saying about asking God to give you the strength to endure your "blessings"? Sometimes the strain gets to me, can't shake it off, this is one of those days. At least I can whine here! Thanks, Danielle.

Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed that Casper was a male. She is very pretty-love the coloration of her fur. I missed by Emma and Alex very much while we were in Tennessee. Emma, my snuggle bug, took about 3 hours to warm up to me last night but Alex, the every needy male, was right there for those tummy rubs. I don't know what I would do without those two. Fortunately my husband feels the same way.

Poor thing! At least something good came out of getting hit w/a basketball! I imagine he got hit pretty hard to knock his tooth looth...lol. My 7, soon to be 8, year old has only lost 4 of his teeth. The dentist said the longer he holds onto his baby teeth the better. That is was not a bad thing to be slow on loosing his baby teeth.

Casper the girl, you are such a beauty! I thought she was a girl. You can usually tell by their build. She has beautiful markings.

What a handome guy! How old is your son? Casper is pretty lady too!

OK, no one tell my son what the going rate for a tooth is! He just lost his first one a few weeks ago and the tooth fairy only left him .50! My husband said that wasn't right and that he should have gotten at least a buck. I have three kids! At a buck a tooth, my goodness! Maybe he'll get a raise with the next tooth!!!

my daughter heard that her friend got more than a dollar when she lost her tooth. when she asked my why there was a difference, my husband and i both said we must have gotten a tooth fairy that didn't have as much money. a poor tooth fairy. LOL i'm not sure she believed us but i reminded her that when you quit believing in these kind of things they quit coming around. LOL she says she still beieves in the tooth fairy, easter bunny, & santa claus.LOL anyways, when she starts losing her back teeth we might give her a little more.

Karen C.-Inflation reared its ugly head at my house too. My ex-husband gave our daughter $2.00 for a tooth. Before that she was happy with 50 cents. She quit believing in the tooth fairy before she lost all of her teeth, but of course, still expected me to pay her for them! The worst part is that she has kept some of the teeth in a test tube, as an experiment. I tried telling her that when body parts fall off, we throw them away, but this has not deterred the budding young scientist!
