Computers
Ok I have always said I do not care for computers. Now I really don't like them. As you all know my mom has a macintosh. I can not stand it. I can't even cut , copy, or paste on that thing. I also have all my pictures on this computer along with all my web sites. Does anyone know how to transfer them so I can get them at home? I am going to have to find a phone cable to hook up my computer. That's another thing. It has to go through the phone line. What a pain. I also have to get my keyboard from my brother. I don't think he is currently using it. On the good side I would not have all the wonderful friends I have today if it weren't for the computer. There are so many things that are good about the computer. So I guess I have to look past all that. This cat knows what I mean. My kids are better with it than I am I think.

YEAH! lol So glad to see a new post when I clicked on Ventors Welcome this morning! And yes! Computers can be a royal pain in the you know what! But without them, things would be a lot different! How old is your daughter!? She just looks so grown up in the pic and I though she was younger.

What an adorable picture of the kitty. Love the position. I know what you mean, I'm not good, just do what is required for my job and checking out all of our Fuzz sites. I'm busy today for a change so if I don't get back on the site, Danielle and all, hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th of July. I'm off until the 5th after 3:45EST today. Yeah!!!
yea!!! danni is back! sometimes computers can be sooooo frustrating. but without them think of the work we sould still be doing! like you said danni, we wouldn't know each other and be friends. there would be NO fuzz pack. :( always pros and cons. that's life.
kat, love the pic of emma. how did you ever get her to stay put to take a pic of her in that position? she must have been really relaxed and comfortable. don't let rosie see her in that position. LOL
claire that's not fair!!!! i have to work monday. at least i am off tuesday. have a good weekend. think of me slaving away on monday. LOL
Danielle, I completly understand the computer frustration to.I just love it when they freeze up for no apparent reason. Hey that lil grey baby looks like what my Shamy might have when he was lil.
momsbusy- don't feel bad i ahve to work Monday to, but i have to work Saturday in order to have Tuesday off. :(
i just read what ella's mom posted on her site.
i can't believe they would put an animal to sleep because of their temperment. i could see if it was visciously attacking and killing everything in sight but a kitten. oh come on! so if you take a scared and frightened kitten there and it takes them too long to warm up to the people there then it's a death sentence. and they say they are the humane society. how inhumane! next thing you know they'll want to check newborn people to see if they have bad temperments and need to be put down. (ok that might be a lttle much but you get my drift). and if the HS doesn't have enough room they will put the kittens down. and yet the couple still leaves them there. how absolutely 100% cold hearted. and to think they turned right around and got a puppy.
i hate when you try to do what is right and you end up second guessing yourself.
and that couple with the 3 kittens. if they couldn't keep the kittens what did they do w/ the momma cat? if they knew only one is ok why did they let her get pregnant? have they not heard of spay/neuter? what ever happened to responsible pet owners? AAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
ok i feel better now. i feel empathy for ella's mom and such heartache for those three little kittens. they didn't ask to come into this world. irrespnsible jerks (those people who left them). i understand about rules but that humane society has sh**ty rules.
katnippia, that stinks! is not the 4th a legal holiday? what do you do for a living where you have to work on a holiday?
Hey, now I feel guilty. My husband works at a golf course so he is working Monday and Tuesday. Course, I don't feel guilty about that.
I just read Ella's blog. OH MY GOD haw the hell could people do that? It is complete bullshit! SOOOOO aggravated!

I also have a four day weekend. I have to try to get my computer working at home.
I forgot my daughter is 8 going on 30. So she thinks.
mine is 9 going on 25. we have regular attitude adjustments to bring her back to 9 yrs old. LOL
Ok I hope nonone minds but I need to do some venting... I am so upset right now. As if I didn't have a bad enough time yesterday afternoon after going to the humane society, I find out from my boss today that he is cutting me back to part time starting next week. This just came out of nowhere. I guess not totally out of nowhere, things have been really slow, we lost a major client at the beginning of the year and have been struggling to regroup ever since, but I didn't expect this. I guess I should be happy he isn't letting me go altogether, but this still stinks. I also just spent what little savings I had on getting my computer set up at home, so I don't have any money. Then he has to go and make me feel awful by telling me that someone else got a couple of leads in on some projects when I had tried to do it before but only got one. I know he just must think I'm incompetent. I just want to cry right now.
Dear Ella's Mom, In Michigan, it still might be possible to apply for "under-employment" throught the MESC. Check on that, they used to make up the difference between full and part time salary. I can understand what you are going through having had that happen to me in the past. Check on website for the MESC today, if you can. You can download any forms from the site. Remember if is something to do with under-employment. Hope that helps.
We don't mind at all. We are here for you to vent and maybe get some support. That is wrong what the boss did. Are there opportunities for you to get more work from the company? Or possibly a new job?
Thanks Claire, Danielle for the support. Hopefully things will work out, I just have to figure something out. I don't want to leave here, cause apart from today, the guy I work for is a good guy. If I do leave, he'll have noone to do the office work. Plus it's the longest job I've held in a while, I wanna stick with it if I can so I can build my resume back up. Thanks for the tip about MESC maybe I'll look into that, either that or find some part time temp work. Just so long as I can pay all my bills, I'll be ok.
Check the site first to see if it is still viable. You don't have to go into the office, fill out forms, mail and if approved, you just call in once a week.
