Back to work
Oh well the fun has run out. It is now back to work. I hope everyone had a great 4th. I spent most of the day swimming. I even watched the fireworks from a pool. I had such a good time. My kids kept complaining that they were bored. Maybe this was the last time for them. Well I don't want to get in trouble so I am going to cut this short. Let me know how the weekend was for you. I just thought these were cool pictures to share.

Hi Danielle, Great pictures. I had a very nice weekend and the weather was good, particularily on the 4th. Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th but I think this 3 day work week is going to seem very long to me, can't wait for the weekend already!!!!
back to the grind! this whole day off on tuesday just messes with my mind (what i have left, anyways!) i keep thinkin it's monday. three more days till the weekend! yeah!!!!
i had two sets of parents come over to eat lunch yesterday. they ate, sat and talked for maybe 20 minutes and left. short and sweet. don't get me wrong, i love my parents and my MIL but you can only handle both of them (at one time) for a short period. i did get to take a wonderful nap w/ my 9 yr old daughter. we didn't make the ballgame but did go see the big fireworks display that Shaw AFB put on for everyone. it was 30 minutes long. really nice.
i got the pics of the royal family. those two little ones have grown so much! i just want to come visit and sit on the floor to play with them. i'm not sure which is which but you can tell they are so happy and full of mischieviousness. royal queen mother, your daughter, the queen, is absolutely beautiful! i can see from the pics she is having trouble holding herself back from such an improper display of fun. how undignified to behave so silly! LOL
better stop these long comments or everyone will think i'm rose. LOL

Thanks for the compliments to my Royal Felines, too. Brutus is the one with no white, he's all "beige" like in color (he takes after Momma Grace SO MUCH!!)
Marigold is bright orange and white. She has the biggest white mitts for front paws! I guess she'll grow into them, but they make me laugh to look at them.
I did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING yesterday.
No, I can't say that! I got the photos and disk home about 12:20 and started trying to download the pics, figure, nothin' to it...yeah right, for ML there's nothin' to it! Poor ML, we were in an e-mail relay trying to solve the problem of why Kodak's program wouldn't load...ML suggested disabling all the pop-ups and associated blocker-stuff, so I spent a few hours figuring how to do that...finally, at abut 9:30, the download WORKED!
Then I spent ome time putting together an album that the wizard thing wouldn't tell me it was too big to send as e-mail...tested it first on myself AND IT WORKED! I do believe it was 10:15 pm! I have to correct a few of your e-mail addresses, because I made goofs making up the mailing list.
But, I AM SO PROUD of myself! Most of this time, I had 2 Royals either sleeping in my lap, or chasing the cursor or just walking randomly (sp?) over the keyboard and clicking the mouse! They worked hard, too!
Moms, COME OVER AND PLAY WITH MINE KITTIES ANYTIME!! I'll even wash the floor! I've got lots of cushions, they would love it!

I'm glad I had that project to do. There weren't even fireworks in the park next to where I live...cheap town!
Danielle, how's Jake? I was thinking of getting the family a jar of baby food as a treat. I used to get the small cans of Iam's food, and I called it "pate",
and she learned the name, and would come hopping up on the table. I let her eat off the table in the "residence"-wasn't my furniture! But she never goes on the table here. HOWEVER< the "kids" want to see what's in my plate, and they WILL sample!
I can't keep the 2 of them away at the same time!

Oh, it's good to be home again!! I love my mother, but 2 1/2 weeks non-stop is wearing on the body and the soul. She treats me as though I'm 15 instead of 57, and then when I act silly, she wants me to act my age!!
My sister, Kitty, is such a doll and so funny. As she says, "Jan comes down for 2 weeks a year, and Mother goes to George's(our brother) for 2 weeks a year, and the rest of the year I am a saint!"
She really is a saint. Mother all the time would drive me back to drink, I think!! Then I'd be no help to anyone.
We had a lovely, quiet 4th. Paul went and played poker for a few hours, and I slept most of the day. I think today I should at least get my suitcases out of the car!
Now I'm being Rose--but aren't the Royal Family wonderful? HM The Queen looks like she REALLY wants to play with the kits--and Marigold's hissy-fit was sooo cute!! Enough already!!
Jan that is really funny! I can see the same in my mom. She tells me to act my age a lot.
Jake is not doing bad. He is eating a little bit more. He pulled out all his stitches. Surprise surprise. I lost his meds so I have to call the vet to get more. He has only missed one dose so far. Thanks for asking.

Aha, Danielle, are you sure YOU lost Jake's meds? Sounds to me like Jakey may be up to something here besides pulling out his stitches. What a cutie.
I am really impressed with Rose and what she accomplished by herself. She has a real knack for computers. It is easy if you've done it a zillion times, but trying to WRITE someone in an email what to do on a computer you can't see is very difficult. But Rose took my minimal instructions and fixed it! Wow.
Now, what Kat and I were up to about 1:00 am cst???
Muaha...muahaha...muahahahaha!!!! You know ML, I think I'm gonna start a little game w/the secret messages! Hmmmmm...We'll have to essplain (no typo:) ) to everyone the secret message thing. Ewwww, I have lots of ideas. I'll email ya later.

Hello Ladies! Danielle, good to see you're back. The pictures you pasted are great! I love the one of the iceburg! I've seen pics of iceburgs that were just huge! Like mountains of ice! Then you see the whole picture with the top view and the underwater view, and the mountain of ice is suddenly so small! Those iceburgs can be two miles down in length! The pic of the Norther Lights is pretty too. When I lived in Minneapolis, I saw them a few times. I use to wonder what they actually looked like from the North Pole.
Glad Jake is acting like a kitty without problems. I know it's got to be so frustrating though! LOL! I agree, I don't think you lost the pills either, it was Mr. Jakey Poo! LOL!
Well I have to admit, I don't get the whole sectret message thing. I'm feeling left out here. How are we suppose to look for it again?
Aha, Karen C is right to let curiousity take over. After all, "cat people" should be curious, just like our cats!
Kim, please don't feel left out, we were just trying to "tantalize" you into figuring it out.
I used to be a sys admin at a local college, this was one of the tricks the students used to try to get stuff past me. I've seen all sorts of sneaky stuff. Now that Kat's intrigued with it, we'll have to be on our toes. No telling what she'll throw out there for us to find.
